How we work
Most online tools hand you a service, take the payment and leave you to it. We want to work differently: tell you plainly how everything works, and keep improving it with your help. This page lists what that means in practice.
What we do differently
- You see the price before you spend. Every button that uses credits shows its cost, and the plans, credits and limits are listed on the pricing page. There are no hidden fees and no quotes to ask for.
- The rules are said before you pay. Payments are final, and the checkout says so in red before you pay. Credits are not money and cannot be cashed out. If a check, report or message fails because of something on our side, the credits come back automatically. The full rules are in the Refund Policy.
- You can follow your credits. The Credits page lists every charge, gift and top-up, and the Running services page lists everything that charges by itself, with its cost per day, so nothing runs in the background without you knowing.
- You are told what happens to your account. Plan changes, gifts and suspensions arrive as a message in your inbox, and a suspension names the rule and the reason.
- The legal pages say what the app really does. The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy follow how the product works today, and we change them when the product changes.
Tell us what you need
Your feedback goes straight to the people who build this, and we read it. Signed-in users can send it from the feedback page: an idea, a bug, a question or something you like.
When we have seen your message, you get a message in your inbox with its number and the start of what you wrote, so you know which one it was. When we are done with it, we write back to you there as well. Keep an eye on your inbox, because there is a good chance we will reach out.
If a service or feature you ask for is within our power, we will build it. We cannot promise every request or a date, but we will tell you what happened to yours.
How we keep improving
The tools are small on purpose: each one does one job well, and they work together, for example a status page that follows your uptime monitors. We keep adding services and improving the existing ones, and the guides explain how to get the most from each tool.
